A vision for the future of the EU must not formalise present-day frustrations

If the Rome Declaration-to-be on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of our European Union will be about a vision of the multi-speed Europe, than it will become not less than the death certificate of the European project. I strongly believe the citizens of Europe deserve better.

A vision for the future must not formalise present-day frustrations. Our common vision for the future of the EU has to build on our most cherished asset, which is our unity. We must rebuild mutual trust, giving back hope to all the citizens of Europe.

The EU I believe in, the vision to motivate my Hungarian community in Transylvania is a Union of the European nations and national communities, a Europe of its regions, bringing its citizens ever closer to each other.
