The Erasmus Programme offers to young people more than opportunity to study in another European country. Erasmus has proved to be a successful instrument in bridging the gap between cultures, nations and languages.
Through Erasmus programme young people gain the feeling of belonging to a wider group, earning the capacity to sense and to build our common European identity.
I salute the initiative of the “Help Erasmus” Team and I am honoured to support such a motion meant to increase the budget for Erasmus Programme, the most successful European programme developed till now.
During the last seven years I took every opportunity to support all the decisions of the European Parliament which lead to increasing budgets for the EU programmes which support the young generation, as Erasmus + or Erasmus for young entrepreneurs.
