<\/p>\nMEP Iuliu Winkler had on Thursday a meeting with a group of high school students from 9 European countries interested in adapting democracy to the digital age and politics at the European level.<\/p>\n
\u201dI had an amazing exchange of views with a group of courageous and motivated young people coming to the European Parliament from 9 European countries. They offered me powerful and creative insights on how to engage young people in rethinking democracy in the digital age. Does anyone wonder how to bridge the gap between non-formal youth perspectives and European policies? Well, here is the answer: by enhancing youth engagement in democracy through digital tools! The youth group’s trip to Brussels was part of a project organized by the Netherlands-Romania Foundation. \u201cMoving Democracy Online\u201d is designed to provide young people with a platform to engage in dialogue with top representatives of Dutch and European politics, policy makers and other key stakeholders in The Hague and Brussels. The project aims to bridge the gap between non-formal youth perspectives and European policies, enhancing youth engagement in democracy through digital tools.<\/p>\n
